FITCHETT STREET HOUSE

FITCHETT STREET HOUSE

The Fitchett street house design was undertaken for repeat clients.

The existing government housing residence was to be refurbished and extended to create a larger 5 bedroom home.

French provincial and Hamptons were the overlying theme for the project. The existing building and site restrictions posed many challenges for the extension, which were overcome through the close communication and constant coordination between Koda Design and the builder.

A truly unique beautiful result was achieved through features of the design such a Dormer windows, shingle roof tiles and stone cladding. This theme was continued throughout the interior of the house, bringing out the structure and featuring it, creating  interest and volume and bringing accents of timber and stone into the light, fresh palette.
