Odessa Street residence nestles itself into one of Brisbanes well known Southside, city facing street. The sloping, wedge shaped site drove the projects biggest challenges, at the same time, offering its best potential and possibilities. Its black over black palette is hugged by elevated garden planters giving the residence a bold and striking exterior. The built form and landscape very much designed in tune with each other to soften the black, edgy forms. The house follows the contour and alignment of the site, creating an exaggerated point, that leads to the city views and a viewing platform offering a spectacular outlook. The buildings elevation from the street creates privacy for the occupant considering the street facing design was optimal for the site.
