Sydney Avenue House was designed and built for a young, growing family integrating modern conveniences with a traditional built form.
The design is a take on the modern farmhouse, taking cues from its traditional format with rustic finishes such as the San Selmo limewash brick, but creating its own identity using eclectic finishes and fixtures internally.
The hero of the interior is without doubt the kitchen, in particular the Calcutta Viola Marble island bench surrounded in warmth through the coastal oak cabinetry. This is offset by the edgy stair design with its pronounced riser and tread form, showcasing wonderful trademanship and perfect execution.
Decorative ceiling coffers and cornice, Hungarian point chevron timber flooring and the exquisite cabinetry details showcase further examples of refined design and beautiful craftsmanship in the house.
The external alfresco including semi-enclosed alcove give the house unique attributes and combined with the steep roof pitch and landscape complete this refined, well executed and unique design and build.
